The death has occurred of Catherine Small, Newcastle, Galway / Castlegar, Galway.
Formerly of Angliham, Castlegar, Galway.
Catherine passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the staff of University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, July 4th, 2026.
Predeceased by her parents Patsy and Ann Small.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother Thaddeus (Todd), sister-in-law Shanna, niece Maisie, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway (H91 CK84), on Monday the 6th of July, from 5pm, followed by removal at 6:30pm to Galway Cathedral (H91 A780). Catherine’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday the 7th of July, at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Bohermore (H91 V97C).

Parking: There is ample parking available at The Corrib Shopping Centre Multi-Story Car Park (H91 DP6R) which is only a 2 minute walk to/from the funeral home. The entrance to the car park is from Bóthar Na mBan. Please note that this car park will close at 7:00pm on Monday evening.
