From 1st May, St Jarlath's Credit Union will be known as West-Midlands Credit Union following a successful merger with Athlone and Castlerea Credit Union. This marks a new chapter for the credit union which now serves over 80,000 members across Galway, Roscommon and Westmeath. The new name reflects the credit union’s expanded regional footprint - while staying true to its community-first roots. Importantly, all lending decisions will continue to be made locally, and all existing member services remain in place.
