On what is arguably their biggest day in 28 years, An Cheathrú Rua contest the AIB Connacht Junior Football Final on Saturday (30th November) against Sligo's Ballymote Round Towers.
The 1996 senior county champions have suffered lean times in recent years following successive relegations but have bounced back with promotion back to intermediate football. And they added the scalp of Mayo's Kilcommin 1-11 to 0-7 in the provincial semi-final.
Ballymote have produced big results in reaching this stage and were 2-16 to 0-9 victors against Roscommon's St. Barry's two weeks ago.
Leading up to the game, An Cheathrú Rua manager Maghnus Breathnach has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly.
