Mayo used the elements to their favour in the Connacht Minor Football Semi-Final at MacHale Park, Castlebar on Friday (2nd May 2025) to put Galway out of the Tier 1 championship.
Oran Murphy's goal kept the hosts in touch before they pulled clear after the break thanks to strikes from Tony Carey and Fiacre Ó Cinnseala ended the maroon and white dreams and put them into the Tier 2 competition for the second consecutive year.
