Screene's on The Square - Cold Pints, A Warm Welcome, Craic agus Ceol. A new venue has officially opened its doors in Eyre Square, taking over the former site of one of Galway city’s most beloved pubs. Screene’s on the Square has launched on Prospect Hill, occupying the premises that once housed McGettigan’s, which ceased trading in October 2024 after more than a decade of serving locals and tourists alike.
