Galway Races is delighted to announce their reimagined and revitalised as Tribes Tuesday, a celebration of community spirit and local pride. This year, clubs and teams from across Galway are invited to bring their tribe to Ballybrit, uniting supporters, families, and friends to create an atmosphere buzzing with friendly rivalry.
Galway Races Launch “Five Grand Challenge” for Clubs
Clubs have the chance to compete for a €5,000 prize at this year’s Galway Races as part of the exciting Five Grand Challenge on Tribes Tuesday, 28th July. The competition will bring qualifying clubs to the Galway Races for a live team challenge event, followed by a high-energy sprint finale.
How the Challenge Works
Each club must enter a team of three adults, including at least one female team member. Every team member will take part in one of the following challenges:
Rodeo Horse
Hang Tough
Squat Challenge
The combined scores from all three events will determine the rankings. The top 10 teams will then move on to the Grand Finale. In the final stage of the competition, each team will choose one runner to represent their club in a 300-metre sprint race. The winner of the sprint finale will earn €5,000 for their club.
How to Enter
To qualify, clubs must sell a minimum of 30 Tribes Tuesday tickets. Clubs interested in taking part can register by contacting: [email protected]
