Connemara Blue: Fused Glass Art, Made by Family
One of Connemara Blue’s standout creations, “The Long Walk,” will be given away at the end of the week by Ronan Lardner on The Live Wire, weekdays from 12–3pm. This striking fused-glass artwork captures the charm of Galway’s famous Long Walk in vivid colour and texture, blending the family’s technical skill with their love for local scenery. Its warm tones, clean lines and handcrafted detail make it a stunning piece for any home — and a beautiful reminder of Galway’s coastal spirit.

Connemara Blue is a vibrant, family-run fused glass art studio in Clifden, celebrating 15 years of creativity, colour and craft on the Wild Atlantic Way. The business began in 2010 when Ben discovered a passion for glass fusing, and with Pauline’s quick-thinking drive, their first shop was secured. Today, their daughter Tash leads the studio, proudly continuing the family’s love for glass.
Every piece in the gallery is designed and handcrafted by one of the three artists, each bringing a distinct style to the collection:
-
Ben’s Creations: Dramatic Irish landscapes, sweeping coastal scenes and iconic views from across Galway.
-
Pauline’s World: Playful, bright and whimsical designs, including her much-loved Fairy Garden and Underwater ranges.
-
Tash’s Style: Bold, cheerful and a little retro, featuring geometric shapes and rainbow-inspired colour palettes.
Inspired daily by the beauty of Connemara—the shifting light, the sea and the rugged mountains—the family pours care and precision into every piece. Their commitment to quality is matched by their belief that kindness matters, a value woven into the heart of their work.
Listeners can discover the full collection at their Main Street studio in Clifden or explore their latest glass art online.
