The death has occurred of Barbara Naughton (née Welby), Rahylin Glebe, Ballybane, Galway
Formerly of Fursey Road, Shantalla
In the late hours of Thursday evening, 21 May 2026 Barbara completed her life's journey with her much loved family by her side. She died peacefully in the wonderful care of the Galway Hospice. A devoted wife, mother and Nannie, who is predeceased by her beloved husband Mattie and daughter Siobháin.
Deeply loved by her children Michael, Garry and Lorraine and by her daughters-in-law Patricia and Orla, sons-in-law Gigliano and Tony, grandchildren Amy, Leah, Kian, Bébhinn and Fiadh. Fondly remembered and sadly missed also by her sister Mary and adored brother Padraic, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, the extended Naughton and Welby families, neighbours and friends.

Barbara will lie in Repose at the ‘Church of the Holy Family’ funeral Parlour, Mervue from 4.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Monday, 25th May, 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Barbara at 12 noon and following Mass she will be laid to rest with Mattie in Rahoon cemetery
