It is with sadness that Caroline's family share the news of her passing on 20 October, 2023, at the Brampton Care Home, Oranmore. She died peacefully with her much loved nephew, Andrew, by her side.
Cherished sister of Don and beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Molly). She leaves behind beautiful memories of kindness with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by Don and his wife Nuala, her nephews David and Andrew and her dear niece Sarah together with the extended Kelly and Gallagher family, treasured friends and neighbours.
She spoke fondly of friends she made including those she met whilst teaching in Dublin, Galway and in Africa. She was a volunteer who loved engaging with various community groups throughout her life. Her gratitude extended to those who assisted her so much in publishing 'Core' a selection of poems which was a project brought to conclusion with their help.
Caroline will repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, on Monday, 23 October, from 4:30 p.m. Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 6 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for her on Tuesday, 24 October, at 11 a.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest with her beloved parents in Rahoon Cemetery.
With fond memories
May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace
