The death has occurred of Gabriel Corless, Newcastle, Galway / Cross, Mayo
Gabriel Corless, Newcastle Road, Galway and Coolavalla, Cross, Co. Mayo departed this world peacefully, surrounded by his family at UHG, on April 17th 2026 after a brief illness. He will be forever loved and greatly missed by his beloved wife Mary (née Tyrrell), his daughter Anne-Marie (Claregalway) and sons Gabriel (Maree), William (Dublin) and Edward (Waterdale), son-in-law Ronan McDonogh, daughters-in-law Jill Martin, Elma (née Holden), Caroline (née Ryan) and his dearly loved grandchildren Cian, Conor, Evan, Éabha, Benjamin, Sophie, Hannah, Danny, Finn, Poppy, Lilia, Ivy and Myles, his brother Joe and sister-in-law Lil, his nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Gabriel is pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Mary Ann and his sisters Mary, Winifred and Teresa O’Donnell.
Reposing at his home on Monday April 20th from 5pm - 8pm. Removal on Tuesday April 21st at 12.30pm to arrive for requiem Mass at 2pm in;
St. Patrick and St. Cuana Church, Kilcoona (Corner Chapel H91 V9F7)
Funeral afterwards to Kilfraughaun Cemetery, Cross, Co. Mayo.
