The death has occurred of John Callanan of Ballylin West, Craughwell. John passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a short illness bravely borne in his 95th year. Predeceased by his wife Attracta, their son Fintan, his parents Patrick & Delia, his sisters Pauline Quinn & Anna Crystal and his nephew John Quinn.
John will be loved and remembered always by his daughter Maria (John) McNamee, Ballymana, his sons Gerard (Margaret) Mullagh, Paraic (Maggs) Monivea, Kevin (Deborah) Ballylin, John (Fionnuala) Bullaun, David (Sandra) Ballylin & Dermot (Michelle) Colemanstown. His sisters Kathleen Murray (Nenagh) & Carmel (Brendan) Hudson Dublin. His brothers Michael (Helen) Ballylin & Fr. Paddy (Kilbeacanty). His 19 adored grandchildren and his 9 great grandchildren. His sister-in-law Ita Finnerty, Kilchreest and his brothers in law Gerry (Bridie) Rowland, Strongfort & JJ Rowland Dublin, his nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Cawley’s Funeral Home, Craughwell, (H91 W2V3) on Monday evening 27th April, from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral cortege arriving at St. Killian’s Church Ballymana for Requiem Mass at 12noon on Tuesday 28th April.
Following mass John will be laid to rest beside his beloved Attracta in Killogilleen Cemetery.
