The death has occurred of Joseph (Josie) Morrissey, Cooldaragha, Portumna, Galway
Josie passed peacefully from this life on 9th May 2026 in the wonderful care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe.

Predeceased by his parents John and Christine.
Josie will be sadly missed by his sister Mary, his cousins, members of the extended family, his neighbours and friends.

Josie will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village (H53 DV76) on Monday 11th May from 5pm to 7pm.
Funeral cortége will arrive at St Brigid’s Church Portumna on Tuesday 12th May at 10.45am for Requiem Mass at 11am.
Burial will take place after Mass in Calvary cemetery Portumna.
