The death has occurred of Margaret Donovan, peacefully, on Holy Saturday, 4th April 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the Galway Hospice.
Adoring wife of the late Dono Donovan - 13th September 1991
Margaret will be reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Dono, daughter Teresa, and son Joseph.
Deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken family; her children Dan (Sonny), Margaret (Small One), Bridget (Biddy), Patrick (Paugh), James (Jim), Gerry, Kathleen, Martin (Donny), Mike, Julia, Fono and Caroline; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace. Amen.
Reposing at the Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue, on Wednesday, 8th April 2026, from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Followed by removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Ballybane. Friends and family are welcome to follow the funeral cortege as it walks from Mervue to Ballybane.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 9th April, at 10.00 a.m. in St. Brigid’s Church, Ballybane.
Following Mass, Margaret will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Loughrea, alongside her beloved husband Dono.
