Michael passed away peacefully in the very good care of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in the University Hospital Galway. Michael is predeceased by his parents Mary and Michael Joe, his aunt Judy and his niece Patricia. Michael will be sorely missed by his heartbroken brother Tom and sisters Mary, Noreen and Siveen. Michael will deeply missed by his sister-in-law Geraldine, brothers-in-law Willie and Michael, his adored nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Michael will repose in his brothers Tom's home in Newtown (H53 YE84) on Friday, 15th of September, from 4pm, with removal at 7pm to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Creagh. Michael's Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Creagh Cemetery. Michael's Funeral Mass can be viewed via live stream on www.funeralslive.ie/michael-carey/
