The death has occured of James (Jimmy) Cummins, Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia and formerly of Kilskeagh, Athenry, Co. Galway.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Jimmy who passed away peacefully on the 4th of March 2026 in the tender care of the staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Athlone.

Predeceased by his wife Connie, his partner Margo, his parents Kathleen and Eddie, his brothers Michael, Ger and Eamonn, and his sisters Margaret and baby infant Margaret.

Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his sisters Sadie Lordon (Ennis), Mary Flannery (Kiltullagh, Athenry) and Olive Mulhare (Cloghan, Offaly), his brother Declan (Corofin, Clare), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel Lackagh (H65 N129) on Monday 9th March from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to The Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday 10th of March at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in Lackagh Old Cemetery. Mass will be live streamed on the following link https://lackaghchurch.ie/
