The death has occurred of Andrew (Janek) Turkiewicz,
Cnoc an Óir, Rahoon, Galway
Andrew passed away peacefully in the care of the Creagh Suites in Ballinasloe on Sunday, 31st May 2026 in his 74th year, following a long illness bravely borne with great courage and dignity.
Deeply loved by his wife Ann (McDonagh) and sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, niece and nephew, grandniece and grandnephew, and extended family, friends and neighbours.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the nurses and staff in the Creagh Suites, especially Declan, Brid, and Katie.
Special thanks also to the Galway POLL team especially Beibhinn Kelly and Dr Burat.
A sincere thanks to Andrew's neighbours and friends, especially Lillian, Ger, John, Emily, Terence, Joanna and Maria for their care, support and kindness throughout Andrew's illness.
Funeral Arrangements:
Wednesday, June 3rd 2026.
Reposing at his home in No. 69 Cnoc an Óir, (H91 YFW0) on Wednesday evening, 3rd June from 5pm - 7pm.
Private cremation to follow.
Family flowers only.
