Ann Tierney (née O’Connell)

Formerly of Corrib Park and Bohermore, Galway City and Kilcolgan, Co. Galway

It is inexpressible the deep grief the Tierney family feel as they share the news of Ann's death with you. Ann died peacefully on Tuesday, 18th November in the wonderful care of the staff at the Galway Hospice, surrounded by her much loved family. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret, baby son Martin Tierney, brother P.J. O’Connell, grandson Seán Tierney and brother-in-law P.J. Cloherty. Dearly missed by her loving sons John and Simon, daughters Madeline, Olivia and Maxine (O'Brien's Bridge, Co. Clare) and their father John. Sadly missed also by her partner Noel Higgins, sisters Geraldine Cloherty, Rita (England) and brother Martin (England), daughters-in-law Deirdre and Michelle, sons-in-law Brian, Gerard and Paul, grandchildren Luke, Stephen, Emily and Anna, Ross and Charlee, Callum and Nathan, Niamh and Aoife, Kate, Harry, Nina and Ned, the extended family, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.

Mam, there are no goodbyes for us.

Funeral Arrangements

Thursday, November 20th, 2025

Ann will repose at 'St. Pio's Room within the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road (H91 E781) from 5 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Removal into the Church.

Friday, November 21st, 2025
