The death has occurred of Ben Gaughan

Rahylin Glebe, Ballybane, Galway

Formerly of Killure, Aclare, Co.Sligo. Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after a very short illness. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Gaughan of Killure, Co.Sligo and his beloved baby daughter Lisa. Ben was a devoted husband, father and Granddad. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Sally (Nee Glenane, Bawnmore), his children Sharon and Kenny, their spouses Niall and Stephanie and his treasured grandchildren Isla and Ben. He leaves behind his heartbroken siblings Michael (Cambridge), Evelyn (London), Frank (Mountrath), Marion (Annaghdown), Tommy (Aclare), Angela (Shannon), Gerard (Portlaoise), Geraldine (Wellpark), Leo (Killure), his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and neighbours.

 

He was a valued member of the Glenane family and was considered a brother to Brendan (Montreal), Mary (Bermingham), Bridie (Coolaney), Paddy (Melbourne), Johnny (Bermingham), Ann (Shantalla), and Eileen (Headford).

Reposing at Corrandulla Mortuary Chapel (H91HN83), on Thursday evening 7th of May from 5pm removal at 7pm to his home. Arriving at St.Brendan's Church Corrandulla on Friday morning 8th of May for Requiem Mass at 11am, burial afterwards in Cregg Cemetery (H91EK7R). Funeral Mass will be live-streamed at www.churchtv.ie/corrandulla and broadcast on parish radio at 106.6fm.
