The death has occurred of Bernie Greaney née Dervan, Kiltormer, Ballinasloe.
Formerly of Ramore, Killimor, Ballinasloe.
A kind and gentle angel known by many and loved by everyone. Saying we will miss you just doesn’t cut it.
Bernie passed away January 9th 2026, suddenly under the wonderful care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Julia & Anthony, her brother Tony, her parents-in-law Paddy & Rita, and her in-laws Francis & Pat.
Bernie will be dearly missed and forever loved by her devoted & heartbroken husband John, her son Shane and her daughters Sandra, Julie and Orla, her daughter-in-law Fiona and her sons-in-law Rob, Damien and Eoin. Her beloved grandchildren Shannon, Lee, Tommy, Oliver, Aoife, Seán, Luke, Lochlann, Andy & Séamus.
She will be sadly missed by her brothers & sisters Mary, Michael, John-Joe, Frank, Ambie, Phil, Anne & Padraic, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, her nieces, nephews, cousins, her wide circle of friends, her work colleagues at H53 and her wonderful neighbours.
May Her Beautiful Soul Rest In Peace.
Bernie will repose at Kiltormer Sports Complex (H53P653) on Monday, January 12th, from 4.30-7pm.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, January 13th, at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Kiltormer (H53DK33), followed by cremation at Shannon Crematorium.
