Condolences

Rowland Family, Castlebar

We were very sorry and shocked to hear Sunday morning about Brendan’s death. I was told to look out for Brendan on arriving on the first day in King’s Inn, I can still picture him as described to me, immaculately dressed and very personable from our first conversation. Brendan was a beacon of wisdom, intellect and quiet grace to all who knew him and always willing to help with no expectation of anything in return. He was a great support to my brother when he joined the Western Health Board on his return from Australia offering great advice characterized by kindness, integrity and always practicality. Above all, Brendan was a family man who no doubt will miss his kindness and gentle guidance. We may in Brendan’s honour have to be gracious in defeat if his beloved tribesmen defeat us yet again this year, he was a man who was humble in victory but gracious in defeat. Slán Abhaile Brendan, we will remember you with great affection.

Freda and Bernie Geraghty

Our deepest sympathy to all Brendan’s family. Brendan was the rock of the family and his love and care and extended to his many cousins. We will miss him so much. We can only imagine what his nearest and dearest are going through. May he rest in peace.
