The death has occurred of Brendan King, Toronto, Canada and formerly of Bawnmore, Athenry. 2nd January 2026.
Predeceased by his parents Patch and Mary, brothers Gerry and Jimmy.
Brendan is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his life partner Janet, his brothers
Martin (Vancouver), Mike (Vancouver), Charlie (Portugal) and Eamon, sisters Maureen
(Florida), Noreen (New York) and Veronica, brother in-law Sean, sisters in-law Kathy, Arlene,
and Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends in both
Ireland and Canada.
Brendan’s ashes will be returned to Ireland for his final resting place. Requiem Mass will
take place on Saturday 16th May at 5pm in the Church of The Assumption, Athenry. Burial
afterwards in the New Cemetery, Athenry. Mass will be live streamed on https://www.churchmedia.tv/st-marys-parish-1 and can be listened to on the Parish radio 106.5fm.
