The death has occurred of Brian Creedon

Beech Grove, Oranmore, Galway / Mallow, Cork

On Monday 2nd February 2026, peacefully, after a long illness bravely borne, Brian drew his last breath at Galway University Hospital with his devoted sons by his side.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Sheila and brother Michael.

He will be dearly missed by his adoring family; brother Jimmy, sons Paul and Des, daughters-in-law Helen and Gillian.

He was a much loved “Dida” to his grandchildren Chloe, Finn, Tom and Lía of whom he was immensely proud and always made time to have fun with.

Funeral Arrangements

Friday 6 February 2026 : Brian will repose in Tearmann Mhuire within the grounds of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Oranmore (H91 XC61) from 5:30pm. with removal into the Church at 7pm.

Saturday 7 February 2026 : Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Brian at 1pm. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife in Rinville Cemetery.

Brian gave me my first full time job in Steven Faller, Exports, Galway back in the late 1970’s. I still quote some of his pearls of wisdom to this day. Fond memories of a fair minded gentleman. May he rest in peace.
