The death has occurred of Bridget Dillon (née Byrnes), Aughrim, Ballinasloe.
Bridget was born in Cappataggle and throughout her life resided in Cheltenham (UK), Kilconnell, New York, Kilreekil and was proprietor of the Aughrim Inn.
Bridget passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of the Staff of Galway Hospice. She is predeceased by her parents James and Margaret Byrnes, her beloved husband William, brother Michael (Harry), sisters Sabina, Mary (England), Margaret (USA), Eileen (UK), Nancy (Moore) and Bernadette (Cappataggle), brothers in law and sister in law.
Devoted mother to Patrick, Billy, Bernadette (USA) and Jimmy (Kilconiron), partners Tina, Mary, Mike and Fionnuala. Survived by her sister Chrissy (Cong) and her husband Patsy Cormican. Dedicated grandmother to Niall, David, Laura, Justyn, Katie, Matthew, Ciara, Michael, Gleb, Caroline, Niall, Rory, Sally, Billy and their partners, proud great grandmother of Faye, Alex, Mila, Paídí, Finbar, Sadhbh, Cleo, Tadhg and Donnacha, deeply regretted by her extended family, nephews, nieces, wide circle of friends especially her dear friend Louisa and exceptional neighbours.

Reposing at St. Catherine’s Community Hall, Aughrim (H53 D9F4) on Sunday 26th October from 4pm to 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday in St. Catherine’s Church, Aughrim at 12 noon which may be viewed online at www.churchtv.ie/aughrim Bridget will be laid to rest in Killalaghton Cemetery.
