The death has occurred of Bridie Hopkins (née Doyle), Westbrook, Ballymoneen Road, Knocknacarra, Galway / Longford Town, Longford
Bridie completed her life’s journey on the first day of May. She died peacefully surrounded by love after a long illness at home with her devoted husband Tony and family by her side. Deeply mourned by her sons and daughter, Johnny (England), Anthony (Australia) and Ruth (England), daughter-in-law Nayha, son-in-law Aiden, sisters Mary and Bernie, brother Kevin, treasured grandchildren Ciara, Shane and Aoife O’Donnell, Ethan, Julia and Leah, nephews and nieces Michael, Caitriona, Kevin, Deirdre and Eugene, sisters-in-law Margaret Cassidy and Mary Dooley, the extended Hopkins family, relatives and friends in particular by her long time carers Charlene and Doch, their colleagues, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her infant daughter Mary, parents Mary and Kevin, sister Catherine, sister-in-law Bríd, brother-in-law Gene, nieces Miriam (Mizzy), Clodagh and Fiona, Mary-Bridget and Jack Hopkins and the deceased members of the Hopkins family.

Removal from her home at 4 p.m. to arrive at St. Anthony’s Room within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra for Reposing therein from 4.30 p.m. Removal into the Church at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, 6 May 2025
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Bridie at 12 noon. Following Mass she will be laid to rest with Mary in the new cemetery. Live Streaming link for Mass : https://www.churchtv.ie/knocknacarra/
