The death has occurred of Colm Ó Flathartaigh

Cois Abhann (Riverside), Galway City, Galway / Donnybrook, Dublin

Formerly of Donnybrook, Dublin

Domhnach Broc, Baile Átha Cliath roimhe sin

Cúis mhór bróin an scéala ó Mhuintir Uí Fhlathartaigh go bhfuil Colm imithe ar shlí na fírinne. Fuair sé bás go suaimhneach Dé Sathairn, an 6ú Nollaig in Ospidéal na hOllscoile, Gaillimh agus a bhean chéile dhílis agus a chlann láimh leis.

Méala mór a bhás ag a bhean Lesley, a iníonacha Sinéad agus Ciara, a mhic Ciarán, Éamonn agus Eoin, a chliamhaineacha Jerry agus Liam, agus a
bhanchliamhain Eilish. Aireoidh a gharchlann uathu go mór é freisin – Éabha, Cillín, Colm agus Páidí - a raibh sé chomh bródúil sin astu. Méala mór a bhás freisin dá dheirfiúracha Donla, Eithne, Aighleann agus Ríonach, dá dheirfiúr chéile, Frances, dá nianna agus neachtanna, dá ghaolta, dá chomrádaithe, dá chomhghleacaithe tréidliachta, dá chomharsana agus dá chairde.

A Thiarna, ghlac tú beirt naíonáin bheaga le Colm faoi do chúram síoraí, tráth. Inniu,
cuirimid Colm faoi do chúramsa, agus muid muiníneach go bhfuil sé in éineacht arís
leo, agus lena thuismitheoirí, Máirtin agus Máire, ar neamh.

It is with deep sadness that the Ó Flathartaigh family shares the news of Colm’s death with you. He died peacefully on Saturday, 6th December at Galway University Hospital with his devoted wife and family by his side.

Deeply mourned by his wife Lesley, daughters Sinéad and Ciara, sons Ciarán, Éamonn and Eoin, sons-in-law Jerry and Liam and daughter-in-law Eilish. He will be deeply missed also by his grandchildren Éabha, Cillín, Colm and Páidí all of whom he was immensely proud, Deeply mourned also by his sisters Donla, Eithne, Aighleann and Ríonach, sister-in-law Frances, nephews and nieces, relatives, veterinary colleagues, neighbours and friends.
