In the early hours of Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025 Colm passed away at Galway University Hospital after a battle bravely borne.
Predeceased by his much loved wife Ann (née O’Toole). Deeply loved and mourned by his children Dympna, Ciara, Enda and Sheila, sons -in-law, Sean Hynes and John Murray, grandchildren Ultan, Eleanor, Eamonn, and Libby, Hannah, Niamh, and Liam. sisters, Maeve in Australia and Dympna in Dublin, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, the extended O’Byrne and O’Toole family, neighbours and lovely friends.

Reposing at the Cillín within the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Barna from 5 p.m. Removal to the Church at 6.30 p.m.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Colm at 12 noon. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with Ann in Furbo cemetery.
