The death has occurred of Delia (Bridget) Connolly (née Gilmore)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Delia Connolly, who died peacefully on 10th June 2026 after a courageous battle with illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Eddie and Nora and sister Noreen, Delia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose family was the centre of her world. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Padraic; her cherished children Aidan, Orlagh, Siobhan and Padraic Óg; her daughter-in-law Mary Rose and sons-in-law Ronan and Ollie; her adored grandchildren Emily, Esther, Aaron, Tiernan, Cuán, Ciarán, Faye and Shay, who brought her immense joy and pride; her brothers Eamonn, Michael,Tommy and Frank and sisters Margaret, Mary, Anne and Arline; brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family, Funeral Parlour, Mervue (H91FH52) on Friday 12th June from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday 13th June will be celebrated for Delia in St. Columba's Church, Castlegar (H91E4C9) at 12.00 midday. Burial afterwards in Lisheen Cemetery, Ballybrit.

Please Note: Access to the funeral parlour is through the front entrance of the main church. Wheelchair users or people with mobility issues can access the funeral parlour at ground level from the car park.
