Dodo (Josephine) Gormally (née Cummins)

GORMALLY (nee Cummins) Dodo (Josephine). Crowe Street, Gort, Co. Galway. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at University Hospital Galway, on the 30th of October, 2025.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Jimmy, by her parents James and Kathleen, by her brothers, sisters and other family members and great friends.

Dodo will forever be in the hearts of her loving family. Cherished and much loved mother of Michael, Stephen, Marie and Brian. Fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law Chrissie, Mavis, Niamh and son-in-law Joe Quinn. A dearly loved grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her adored grandchildren Claire, James, Seán and Holly. Deeply regretted by her brother John (U.S.A), sisters-in-law, all her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, relatives, loyal friends, great neighbours and by the extended Gormally and Cummins families.

Dodo will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Sunday evening, November 2nd, from 5.30pm until 7pm. Removal from her residence on Monday, November 3rd, with the Funeral cortège arriving at St. Colman’s Church Gort for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Dodo will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman's Cemetery Gort, alongside her beloved husband Jimmy.

Dodos family deeply appreciate your kindness, love and support at this time. We thank all who cared for Dodo especially in her final days. Finally, a special word of thanks to our wonderful family, neighbours and friends for all they have done for us over these difficult days.
