The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Lily) Hanney (née Ledwith)
Lily passed peacefully from this life, in her 98th year, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

Predeceased by her husband Jodie, her daughter Ita, daughter-in-law Marian and her siblings Patrick, Michael, Anne, Kathleen, Bridie and Margaret.
Lily was a cherished and adored mother to Mary (Bane), Teresa (Pardy), Phil (Keane), Eamon, Loretto (O'Grady), Joseph, Helen (Langan) and will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Trish, sons-in-law Michael, John, Ger, Eamonn and Gerry and Eamon's partner Katja.
She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother to her beloved 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Lily will be mourned by her sister Ellen (Brennan) and brothers Tommy and James, her sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, members of the extended family, her neighbours, friends and the staff and residents of St Brendan's CNU, Ballinasloe, where Lily resided in recent months.

Lily will repose from 5pm to 7pm on Friday 21st of November in St Joseph’s Centre Killimor (H53 YD36). Funeral cortége will arrive at 10.45am at St Joseph's Church Killimor on Saturday 22nd for Requiem Mass for Lily at 11am. Burial will take place after Mass in Killimor Old Cemetery.
