The death has occurred of Fr. Thomas (Tom) CURRAN O.C.D.

Donnybrook, Dublin / Headford, Galway

CURRAN, Fr Thomas (Tom), OCD, Avila Carmelite Centre, Donnybrook and Headford, Galway. Peacefully on Saturday, March 28 at St Vincent’s University Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family and fellow Discalced Carmelites. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Delia, his brothers John, Fr Paddy, Frank and Michael and sisters-in-law Helena and Margaret. Deeply regretted by his sister Mary (Stephens), brothers Andy, Gabriel and Jimmy, his brother-in-law Joe, sisters-in-law Ina, Carmel, Mary and Johanna, his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives, his Discalced Carmelite family and his wide circle of friends in Ireland and Singapore.

Reposing at Avila Carmelite Centre, Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook, Dublin, D04 YF66 on Wednesday, April 1st from 2.30 pm – 6.00 pm with Mass at 6.00 pm. Reposing at The Carmelite Abbey, Loughrea, Co Galway on Easter Sunday, April 5th from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon on Easter Monday, April 6th, followed by burial at the Abbey Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to ICU, St Vincent’s University Hospital.
