The death has occurred of Frank Flaherty
Flaherty. Frank. Gortbeg, Ballyglunin, Tuam, Co. Galway, 9th January 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the care of the nursing staff at University Hospital, Galway.
Predeceased by his parents Katie and Michael, his brother’s Christy, John, Paddy Joe and Benny, his sister’s Patsy, May, Bridgie, Nora and Kathleen.
Beloved husband of May and loving father to Deirdre, Francis, Rena (Tierney), Paul, Damien and Nicola (Mitchell). Loving father in law to Nicky, Paul, Noelle, Darina and Pakie. Deeply missed by his adored Grandchildren Kim, Francis, Conor, Kieran, Rebecca, Rachel, Ryan, Anton, Lainey and Nathan. Great grandchildren Levi, Izzy and Cillian.
Sadly missed by his brother’s Eddie, Mattie, Ger, Stephen, Dett and his sister Julia, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Frank will repose in Mannion’s Funeral Home, Abbeyknockmoy (H54 RW94) this Sunday evening January 11th 2026 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Requiem Mass on Monday January 12th. 2026 at 12:00 noon in St Mary’s Church, Killererin (H54 WY44) followed by burial afterwards in The Good Shepherd Cemetery, Killererin.
