George passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the wonderful care of the Galway Hospice. Reunited with his beloved wife Rita. Predeceased by his siblings May, Bernadette and Tony.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Jacqueline, sons George, Henry, Malcolm, Brendan, Justin, Declan and Ambrose and by his sisters Frances and Annette. Mourned also by his daughters-in-law Nicola, Barbara, Frances, Loretta, and Sarah, his grandchildren who will miss him dearly; Jason, Sarah, Lisa, Alice, Cillian, Finn, Millie, Traolách, Phillip, Lydia and Seán, the extended Conboy and O’Dea family, lovely neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for George at 11 a.m. and following Mass he will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Bohermore. Mass will be live streamed christ-the-king-church-salthill - MCN
