Gerry Coyne, peacefully on March 8th 2026 surrounded by his loving family after a long illness borne with dignity and courage.

Predeceased by his parents John & Sabina, mother & father in law Eamonn & Eileen Scully & sister in law Cathy Coyne.

Gerry will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend Irene, his adored children Siobhán, Jack & Mark, Jack’s partner Sarah, siblings Tom, John, Mary, Mike, Catherine, Bridie, Martin, brothers & sisters in law Paula, Julie, Jenny, Martin, Dave, Nicole, John & Martina Scully, Geraldine and Jon Evans, aunt Rita, nieces, nephews, godchildren, grandnephews, extended family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.

Reposing at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52), this Tuesday the 10th of March from 5pm to 6.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday the 11th of March in St. Columba's Church, Castlegar (H91 E4C9) at 11 am. Burial afterwards in Lisheen, Cemetery, Ballybrit.

Family flowers only.

Please Note: Access to the funeral parlour is through the front entrance of the main church. Wheelchair users or people with mobility issues can access the funeral parlour at ground level from the car park.

Very sorrow to hear of Gerry's passing, condolences to his wife, family, friends and work colleagues. Had the pleasure of training Gerry in First Aid for many years, always a man in good form with a positive caring nature. Rest In Peace Gerry.
