The death has occurred of Joe Finan
Formerly of Heather Grove, Mervue, Galway.
On Wednesday, the 22nd of July 2026, Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the nursing staff of St. Joseph’s Ward at University Hospital Galway.
Predeceased by his parents Carmel and Jim Finan.
Beloved husband of Una (née Donnellan) and much-loved brother of Miriam. Joe will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, sister, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nephew Christian, Uncle Pat (Dublin), cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52) on Friday the 24th of July from 5pm to 6:30pm, followed by removal into the adjoining church. Joe’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday the 25th of July at 11:30am. Cremation service will take place at 2pm at Shannon Crematorium, Co. Clare (V14 PV30).

Please Note: Access to the funeral parlour, is through the front entrance of the main church. Wheelchair users or people with mobility issues, can access the funeral parlour at ground level from the car park.
