The death has occurred of Joe (Joseph) Daly, Ashbrook House, Bolands Lane, Gort, Co. Galway and late of Kinvara, Co. Galway and Dublin.

Peacefully on the 7th of August, 2025, in the tender care of the wonderful staff of Ashbrook House.

Pre-deceased by his dear parents and brother Michael.

Cherished and much loved, Joe will be sadly missed by his loving sister Eileen, brother Daniel, sisters-in-law Rosaleen and Madeline, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Fondly remembered by all his cousins, relatives, the extended Daly families, great neighbours, by the people of Gort and especially by all his great friends and devoted carers in Ashbrook House and the Brothers Of Charity Services, Gort.

Joe will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Monday evening, August 11th , from 5 pm. Removal at 7 pm to St. Colmans Church, Gort. Requiem Mass Tuesday, August 12th, at 12 noon, followed by a committal service at Shannon Crematorium, Illumnagh Shannon, Co. Clare at 2pm. Joe’s family deeply appreciates your kindness and support at this time. We wish to thank all who cared for Joe over the years, especially the wonderful staff of The Brothers Of Charity Gort, Dr. Richard Joyce and the staff at Gort Medical centre and all of Joe’s great friends.

Our sincere sympathy to the Daly family onJoe’s passing. Joe was a very nice man always up for a bit of fun and loved his bowling. He said he was the best bowler and so he was. We hope we are still on his Christmas list. May you rest in peace Joe.
