The death has occurred of Joe O’Flaherty, Murrough, Renmore, Galway / Shantalla, Galway
Murrough, Renmore and formerly of Fursey Road Shantalla.
In the early hours of Tuesday, 13 May, Joe completed his life’s journey unexpectedly. Predeceased by his beloved son David in 2007, his parents Mary and Matthew, sister Maureen and brother Matthew.
Deeply mourned by his wife Geraldine sons Anthony and Garry, daughter Sinéad, their partners Brian and Fiona and his grandson David Alan.
Joe was also dearly loved by all his extended family in particular by his brothers Seán, Colm and Martin, sisters Bridie, Noranne, Peggy and Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at ‘Aras Naofa’ within the grounds of the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore from 5 p.m. Removal to the adjacent Church at 6.30 p.m.
Friday, 16 May 2025
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Joe at 11 a.m. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with David in the New cemetery, Bohermore.
