The death has occurred of John 0'Regan, Brierfield, Ballinasloe, Galway

The death has occurred of John O'Regan who passed away peacefully after an illness borne with unbelievable courage and strength. He left this world surrounded by his adoring family and with the gentle care of Galway Hospice and the Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses.

Pre-deceased by his beloved father Patrick (Peter) and sister Margaret.

John will be sorely missed by his loving wife and best friend of 50 years Mary: his sons Alan and Peter: his daughters Pamela (Killilea), Caltra, and Lorraine (Cook), Brierfield sons-in-law Matthew Killilea and Jon Cook and daughters-in-law Kate and Anita, Grandchildren whom he cherished so much, Leon, Sophia, Emma, John, Maia, Michael,Robert, Lucy and Amy.

He will be deeply mourned by his Mother Bridget, brothers James, Edward, Patrick and Kevin: his sisters Mary and Bernadette (Hatton): his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of friends and neighbours. He will be also be remembered with great fondness by his former colleagues at Moylough Concrete, where he shared so many years of camaraderie and hard work.

John's life was rooted in love, kindness and quiet strength - a tree of shelter and steadfastness for all who knew him.

Reposing at Franciscan College Mountbellew 31st of August from4 pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Monday September 1st at 12 noon in St Bernard's Church Abbeyknockmoy, and burial afterwards in Moylough Cemetery.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
