The death has occurred of John Joe Corcoran

Parkmore, Castlegar, Galway / Renmore, Galway

Formerly of Ballyloughnane, Renmore, Galway.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved John Joe, after a short illness, on Monday the 1st of December 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mai Corcoran, siblings Vinnie, Bernie, Thomas and Kathleen and nephews Darragh, Tony and John.

John Joe will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife Kathleen, his beloved sons Declan and Brendan, daughter Deirdre, daughter-in-law Stella, son-in-law Mark, Declan's partner Rachel, cherished granda to Cian, Aoibhe, Shane, Lia, Ryan, Katie, Ella and Shona. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Nicky and Donal, sisters Anne and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, the extended Corcoran and Fahy families, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing in The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52), on Thursday the 4th of December from 5pm. Removal at 6:30pm to his home. John Joe's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday the 5th of December at 12 noon, in St. Columba's Church, Castlegar (H91 E4C9). John Joe will then be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.

Please Note: Access to the funeral parlour, is through the front entrance of the main church. Wheelchair users or people with mobility issues, can access the funeral parlour at ground level from the car park.
