The death has occurred of John O'Gorman

Bohermore, Galway

On the 2nd of December 2025, John passed away very peacefully in The Galway Hospice, after a short illness bravely borne.

Beloved husband of the Late Patricia. Will be sadly missed by his daughters Helen Noonan (Clarinbridge), Mary Teahan (Woodhaven) and Christina Giles (Pollinore, Corofin), sons John and Jimmy, sons-in-law Liam, Ken and Dave, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing in Irwin's Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin (H91 CK84), on Sunday the 7th of December from 5:30pm. Removal at 7:00pm to his daughter Mary's residence. John's Requiem Mass will take place on Monday the 8th of December in St. Patrick's Church Forster Street (H91 FP84), at 11am. John will then be laid to rest in The New Cemetery Bohermore, with his beloved wife Patricia.

Parking: There is ample parking available at The Corrib Shopping Centre Multi-Story Car Park (H91 DP6R) which is only 2 minutes walk to/from the funeral home. The entrance to the car park is from Bóthar Na mBan. Please note that this car park will close at 7:00pm on Sunday evening.
