The death has occurred of Johnny Cowan, Shannon Park, Portumna, Galway.
Johnny was an adored husband, father and grandfather. He passed away peacefully from this life on Saturday 2nd August at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Deeply loved and sadly missed by his beloved wife Margaret, sons Mick, John, Christopher, daughters Colette, Mairead, and Breege and his nine grandchildren, his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his sisters, nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law.
Johnny is predeceased by his only brother Mikey and his six sisters.
He will also be missed and fondly remembered by his many Bridge partners and friends.
Johnny will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village, (H53 AY18) on Tuesday 5th August from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral cortége will arrive at St Brigid's Church, Portumna on Wednesday 6th August at 10.45am for Requiem Mass for Johnny at 11am. Burial will take place after Mass in Kilmalinogue cemetery, Boula, Portumna.
