The death has occurred of Josephine O'Carroll (née Scarry)
Formerly of Attyregan, Ballymacward, Ballinasloe, Co.Galway. Jo passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, the 5th of May, 2026. Predeceased by her mother Mary Anne Scarry (nee Greaney), her father Timothy Scarry, her sisters Sheila, Moira, Helen, Collette, Renee, Noreen and Ita, her brothers Tom Joe and Martin and her former husband and best friend Ancel.
Jo is deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving family, her son David, her daughters Nicola O’Carroll, Sarita Johnston and Michelle Flanagan, her sons-in-law Tim, Stephen and Alfred, her daughter-in-law Dympna, her 11 adored grandchildren Timothy, Odhran, Conor, Mark, Roisin, Aidan, Ciarán, Ferdia, Moya, Grace and Kyle, her sister Frances (New York) her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Jo will repose at her residence in Garbally Drive, Ballinasloe (H53 YY28), on Friday the 8th of May from 5pm to 7pm. Private removal on Saturday to St. Michael’s Church, Ballinasloe for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in Creagh Cemetery. House private on Saturday morning.
