The death has occurred of Kathleen Coughlan (née O'Flaherty)

Parkmore, Castlegar, Galway

On the 10th of June 2026, Kathleen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent care of the staff of Brooklodge Nursing Home, Ballyglunin.

 

Loving wife of John, will be sadly missed by her husband daughters Aoife and Caitríona, adored grandchildren Daniel and Emma, son-in-law Paul, sisters Maureen, Rita and Ann, brothers Donal and Micheál, sisters-in-law Marie, Mary, Cathy, Sr. Marie Thérèse (Maureen, Poor Clare Monastery, Carlow), and Elizabeth, brothers-in-law Gerry, T.J., and Seamus, her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended O'Flaherty and Coughlan families and a wide circle of neighbours and friends.

 

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Predeceased by her parents Joe and Bridget, brothers John, Martin and Pat, sister Bridget, sisters-in-law, Patricia and Noeleen, brothers-in-law Sean, Michael and Pauric and recently deceased her beloved nephew Robbie Jordan (Australia).

 

Reposing at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue, (H91 FH52), on Sunday the 14th of June from 5:00pm. Removal at 6:30pm to St. Columba's Church, Castlegar (H91 E4C9). Kathleen's Requiem Mass will take place on Monday the 15th of June at 11:00am. Kathleen will then be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore (H91 VOFN).
