The death has occurred of Leo McNama, of Glenview Drive, Riverside, Galway, formerly of Ballinalee, Longford, and Boyle. 3rd of May 2026.
Pre-deceased by his parents, John and Winifred, and his brothers, Sean and Jim.
Leo is finally at peace following years of poor health and a courageous final battle in his last week, surrounded by his loving family.
Deeply missed by his heartbroken wife Rita, son Kevin, daughters Claire, Leona and Lorraine, daughter-in-law, Olivia, and sons-in-law, Udo and Uwe. Leo was a very proud grandfather to Finn, Joyce, Orna, Liliana, Ben and Ellie. He will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law, Sean, niece, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends, neighbours and work colleagues (ex Ancó/Fás) and not forgetting his faithful friend Bobby, the family dog.
Reposing at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52), this Thursday the 7th of May from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday the 8th of May in The Holy Family Church Mervue at 1.00pm Funeral Mass will be live-streamed via www.mervueparish.ie followed by Cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 4.00pm.
Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired to Corrib Ward, UHG. We are forever grateful for the respect and kindness shown to our beloved Leo by the hospital staff.
Please Note: Access to the funeral parlour is through the front entrance of the main church. Wheelchair users or people with mobility issues can access the funeral parlour at ground level from the car park.
