The death has occurred of Mamie (Mary Ellen) Marley, nee McManamon, Glenhest, Newport, Co. Mayo peacefully at her home having celebrated her 100th birthday in her glorious Glenhest, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Kevin, her daughter Marie & son in law Sean Sweeney.
Mamie is survived by her sons John (Veronica) Cloonboo, Galway, Declan (Anna) Tuam, Galway, Kevin Joe (Mary O) Glenhest, her daughters Kathleen Kelly (Sean) Newport, Gabrielle Hurst (Eamon) Tuam & Sharon McGreal (Andrew) Newport, her 19 grandchildren and her 25 great grandchildren.
Mamie will be sadly missed by her family; her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; her wonderful family of carers; her beloved community in Glenhest where she spent many days behind the counter as "the heartbeat of the Glen".
Mamie will be reposing at Glenhest Community Centre (F28P9P7) this Friday evening May 30th from 4-8pm with removal to St Josephs Church Glenhest (F28DX66).
Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday June 1st at 2pm with burial afterwards at Annagh Cemetery.
