The death has occurred of Margaret Flannery nee Fitzpatrick, Attymon, Athenry, Co. Galway.
Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on the 16th of April 2026, in her 98th year.
Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Sabina, her husband Owen, sisters Bridie and Sr.Claire, her brother Paddy, grandson Tony and nephew Stephen.
Maragret will be very sadly missed by her daughters Joan Collins, Patricia Manton, Aoife Fitzgerald and Carmel Flannery, her son John, daughters in-law Jacinta and Marie, sons in-law Sean and Paul (loving father to 3 of her grandchildren), devoted granny to 13 grandchildren and their partners, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Collins, Kathleen Larrissey, Bella Fitzpatrick, Sheila Whittaker, Paddy's wife Brid Fitzpatrick and sister in-law Sr Regina Flannery Mercy nuns Loughrea, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, especially her longtime friends and excellent neighbours Ronnie and Seamus Keady.
Reposing at Quinn’s Funeral Home, Athenry on Saturday 18th April from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving to St. Peter & Paul’s Church, Kiltullagh (H65 KC89) on Sunday 19th for Funeral Mass at 10.30am. Burial afterwards to Killimordaly Cemetery. Family flowers only.
