Mary Ryan (née Devilly) retired national School Teacher
Moate, Moylough, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway in her 98th year. Passed away peacefully in
the wonderful care of the staff at St. Francis Nursing home Kilkerrin, on Monday, 24th November 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Michael; her parents Katie & Bernard Devilly and sisters; Sr. Philip, Chrissie & Gretta, and her son-in-law Sander de Niet.
Deeply loved mother of Marie (Mackessy), Paraic, Bernard, Caitriona (Meehan), Michael, Sean, Tomás, Geraldine (Callander), Áine (Tuffy), Doreen (de Niet), Kevin, Veronica (O’Loughlin), Cyril, Finbarr, Stephen & Damien.
Adored Granny to her 47grandchildren & 38 great grandchildren. Mary will be missed by her sons-in-law Des, John, Ian, Eamonn & Tomás; daughters-in-law Mary Reynolds, Mary Crehan, Mary Ward, Teresa, Claire, Maria, Alice, Joanne, Denise, Patricia & Kathy, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at St. Patrick’s Church, Moylough on Wednesday, 26 November from 3 to 8pm (H53 X273) followed by funeral mass on Thursday, 27 November at 12 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Moylough Cemetery.
