The death has occurred of Maureen Callanan (née Fergus)

Aughrim, Ballinasloe, Galway

Maureen passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, in her 92nd year. She is recently predeceased by her husband Michael, her parents Jim and Mary-Anne Fergus. Maureen will be dearly missed and forever loved by her heartbroken daughters Caroline (Manning) and Anne (Kelly), sons-in-law Tony and Declan, granddaughters Lauren and Leah, Lauren’s husband Cathal and Leah’s partner Conor. Maureen will also be missed by her sister Bridie and her husband Joe Fahy, nephew Declan, nieces Mary, Clare and Ita, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace

Reposing at her home (H53 F959) on Saturday 10th January from 5pm to 7pm. Private removal on Sunday to St. Catherine’s Church, Aughrim for Requiem Mass at 1pm which may be viewed online here. Burial afterwards in Aughrim new cemetery. Family flowers only by request, donations if desired to Palliative Home Care Team, Galway Hospice.

At the request of the family, house private outside reposal times.
