The death has occurred of Maureen Furey (née Foy)
Formerly of Culleen, Kilsallagh, Westport, Co. Mayo.
On Monday, the 25th of May, 2026, Maureen passed away very peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by all her family.
Predeceased by her husband Tom Joe, her son Peter, her parents Peter and Margaret Foy, her brother Peter and her sister Kathleen.
Maureen will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family; sons James, Brendan and Declan, daughters Sally, Marie and Aine, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Anne and Melody-Rose, grandchildren Nicole, Danielle, Chloe, Seán-Óg, Ruairí and Hope, brother Michael, sister Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52), on Thursday the 28th of May from 5:00pm, followed by private removal at 6:30pm to her residence. Funeral cortege will arrive at The Holy Family Church, Mervue (H91 FH52), on Friday the 29th of May for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to The Lisheen Cemetery, Ballybrit.
