On the 20th of May, 2025, Michael passed away very peacefully at his home, in his 90th year, with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Catherine (née Cahill), his beloved daughter Noreen Burns (recently deceased in Derry - 6th of May 2025), grandson Liam, father Stephen, mother Nora, sister May and brothers Martin and John.
Michael will be sadly missed by his loving sons Thomas and Stephen, daughters-in-law Bernie and Ursula, son-in-law Eamon Burns, sister-in-law Bridie Cahill, grandchildren Michael, Rachel, Carol, Roseanna, Alison, Laura and Conor, granddaughter-in-law Paula, great-grandchildren Jack, Éabha, Jacob and Oliver, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
May Michael's Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace
Michael will repose in the Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52), on Thursday the 22nd of May from 5pm. Private removal at 6:30pm to his home. Requiem Mass will take place in The Church of The Holy Family, Mervue, on Friday the 23rd of May, at 11.30am. Michael will then be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Catherine, in The New Cemetery, Bohermore.
