The death has occurred of Michael Fahy, Ballindooley, Galway / Newcastle, Galway

In the early hours of Tuesday, 17 June 2025, Michael died peacefully surrounded by family and in the care of the staff at Galway University Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his brother Seán and sister Eileen (Scully).

He will be greatly loved and forever missed by his family; his wife of 30 years Bernie, and only son Michael, brothers; William, Stephen and Patrick, and sisters Mary Flynn and Ann Needham.

He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Michael’s partner Danielle, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Thursday, June 19, 2025
Reposing at the Church of Holy Family funeral parlour, Mervue, Galway from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Entrance to the funeral parlour via the main entrance of the Church.

Friday, June 20, 2025
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Michael on arrival to St. Columba's Church, Castlegar at 11 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Carrowbrowne cemetery. The Mass will be live streamed here.
